A pocket letter was just canceled and I decided to do one. You will use your baseball card holders and fill them with whatever you choose. This is not profile based but you must fill one baseball card holder and send a empty baseball card holder for your swap partner for the next swap.
Your going to love pocket letters! When filled they are folded and put in a business envelope but do check postage! This is a regional USA swap! Note or letter required in your pocket letter!

Is a letter required, as is typical with pocket letters?

A pocket letter swap was cancelled? I never even saw it...I so wish someone would fix the search in find swaps...I feel like life is passing me by:) watching this one, hope it doesn't go anywhere!

@flowerchild I'm agreeing with you and having a little giggle coz you put my thoughts into words. :)

I just discovered pocket letters, where have I been. Do we fill both sides of the holder? What's the "twist?

Gabbyloco1 03/16/2015 #

Hello all pocket letter fans!! Check out the new pocket letter group that was just started!

A127 03/16/2015 #

A note would be nice and the twist is a extra baseball card holder as I plan to turn around and do another! One side of the holder this time needs to be filled!

user2637 03/16/2015 #

Ok... um.. but is a letter required, as is typical with pocket letters?

A127 03/17/2015 #

Yes a note is required because one pocket is for a letter!

That was mine I cancelled. It was to be a group only so I cancelled. It is now under groups New ones as 9Little pockets to have better control over flakers or drama. Mostly themes and ephemera.

I guess I don't get the twist part. You still have to send another one along for the next swap, unless you don't become part of the next swap or are new to the next swap, you will still have to supply one. If you should happen to go over the weight in shipping with the extra, then I guess that would be twisted. LOL I would probably send something my partner would like anyway just to please her :)

I don't really get the twist either. If we all send an empty pocket page, the result the same as no one sending them; it balances out. :/

One completed pocket letter to your partner, and an extra pocket page sent along for your partner to use on whatever..Sounds super fun!

I have never done a pocket swap, but I am looking forward to doing one.

I think because of postage on these it should be rated as a level 3 swap. If you put anything with thickness in the pockets you end up with a parcel postage rate instead of a letter. In my experience, that is a difference of $1.41 USD.

If I am understanding this right, it should be type 3 whether or not another blank set-of-9 card sheet is included. It's a creative thing, not just a pass something on swap. ...if the one of many "pocket letter" definition being used is like this: http://janettelane.blogspot.com/2015/02/pocket-letters-faq.html

No definition for "pocket letter" in the swap-bot list of definitions...yet?

A pocket packet is on the way to my partner. Enjoy!
