Hehe, I actually have some that I made not long ago and left in my bead box. So I'm all set for this swap!!!

So are we making one kinda like the picture and sending that to our partners or 5 of those pictured and seding that. I'm a little confused.

There is a bit about this on the Swap Bot blog today, with a link to a site that has patterns for things like peace signs, snowflakes, penguins, cats. Need more than 5 pins to make the patterns, but I bet sending your partner more won't hurt :-)

ooh, ok if you wanted to make a pattern one then you would need more i suppose than 5 pins, but if you want to design your own......the min. number of pins is 5, to each partner:)

omg..i remember those too, damn i feel old now. lol...oh well it was fun to make them back then, now lets see if my eyes can work with my finges to get the little beads on the pins. Is using the kids to help as slave labor bad? what if i promise to take her for ice cream? lol..

I just want to make sure that I understand that we are making ones like in the picture above, that is one safety pin with one row of beads on it, 5 of those and then do 5 again for a second person?

I do have a question - and maybe it's kind of silly at this point - - but I'm wondering - - is ONE friendship pin made up of 5 safety pins? or did you want us to make FIVE friendship pins (each one with 5 safety pins) - for a total of 25 safety pins???

*"5" is a tentative number, I'm planning to use more in each friendship pin.

But I'm wondering if we are sending five "completed" friendship pins, or just one "completed" pin that uses 5 safety pins?

If you look at my earlier comment I think too that it is one completed pin that uses 5 pins. That's how I did mine today.

Is anyone else having problems with international mail being opened before arrival?!

Today, I received my letter from Jennifer K in Ottawa, but the envelope had been slit open and the contents emptied!! I was so devastated! This has never happened to me before, but I have a pen pal in NY who's mail out of the states always arrives opened!

ataventure, i am an american living overseas and i , thank god-dess, havent had that problem yet. i have heard of it happening to tohers though....sigh^~~~~~~
