Description:

As you've probably noticed there are more than a couple of travelling postcard swaps on SB - why not have one that stays in Canada?

I'd love to have mine get to each province and territory! Wouldn't you?

FIRST ROUND:

Choose a card (no bigger than 5 x 7"); no sense in having to pay extra for an oversize one, or making somebody else have to. Remember, you need to have an envelope that it fits into. Pick a card that you think people would enjoy seeing when they get it.

Put your name and address on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap ("The CDN Traveling PC Swap, Rnd 1") and your SB user name at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner.

When you get this postcard, write Rnd 2, your name, user name and city and tuck it in a safe spot (not TOO safe - you know how that ends up)! Try to only use one line. I'll set up another round as soon as everyone has clicked "Sent".

When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those who have received the postcard, the last person will stamp the postcard and send it back to the original sender. Easy, eh?

Only join if you are awesome and a non-flaker. This can go on for a long time! Hoping for 10-12 names on the pc that comes back to me. Be aware that because we're a smaller group, you may get your own card back even if it isn't full; we can't control who SB assigns us - just put your name on the left side and send it on again in the next round, so it can be filled up.

Let's see how this goes!

I agree - at least 10 people otherwise, the swap will be canceled. I'd hate to do that!

So when we get the postcard, we write our name and swap name on the left side? Then when round 2 starts we send the postcard to our new partner? When do we send it back to the original person? And do we put a stamp on it as well as the envelope? So the postage is paid for already? Just wanna be sure I fully understand! Thanks!

Yes (and your city). Yes. To the first 2 questions.

You send it back to the original sender when you get their postcard to sign, and there's no room for anyone else to sign it. You then send it back naked (not in an envelope) and stamped.

The postcard is only sent out in an envelope until the card is full.

So, are we sending only "canada" cards, or anything we like????

user6937 01/10/2015 #

Send anything you like - it's coming back to you!
