Description:

This is the best time of the year for recycled card crafts because everyone will have some and easy to round up from friends.

These have been around since the beginning of time, and what a great way to save some money on ornaments. I've also seen these done all in pink and sold for breast cancer fundraisers. These are sold on etsy so you can get more ideas for themes from there.

Senders choice but you could make this Christmas, Valentines, or a fundraiser color - up to you.

If you google images for recycled card ball ornament you will find a number of sites including Martha Stewart with tutorials I'm personally using this site because the tutorial has great step by step instructions and pictures. You can use recycled cards, card stock paper, or even magazine or wrapping paper that you glue onto card stock. Even the backs of the cards can be used for plain color balls. They can be embellished with glitter or gold paint on the edges, little beads glued on, or even a tassel at the end. These can be made any size - it depends on the circles you start out with. I'm suggesting you make an the average ornament size - tiny ones are pretty hard to do. ornament tutorial from this site http://quiltedturtle.blogspot.com/2008/11/icosahedron-ornament-tutorial.html

For this swap you will have one partner to make one ornament for. Remember to package it in a non-crush container for safe shipment please. It's lightweight but because of size you need to look for something like a coffee cup box to ship in.

This is a holiday ornament swap, so expect that you might see religious images on some of the recycled cards. If the thought of that is upsetting to you this might no be the swap for you.

Send on time. A swap sent late does not meet this requirement.

Swapper requirements: Rated 4.95 or higher and no 1's. If you feel that you were rated unfairly and that might keep you from making this swap, please let me know the circumstances. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers.
