Description:

[I sometimes find that with different qualities of tape, when wrapping samples around the edges of playing cards sometimes causes some permanent creases in the tape. I use a lot of the samples for cards & such and sometimes these creases show and I'm always smoothing them down. Thus, I thought maybe swapping shorter samples not wrapped around any edges might help alleviate the creases.]

So, if you choose to come out and play in my swap, you will have 2 partners and to each partner you will send at least 10-12 different decorative tape samples (see note below). The widths may vary, but the length of each tape will be no longer than 6 inches. Instead of playing cards, you will use something approximately the size of a standard postcard. If the surface is not shiny, please add clear packing tape. You should put your samples on both the front and back of the surface you choose.

**Do Not Wrap the Tape Around the Edges, but rather lay them down from edge to edge and trim them so they are flush with the edge.

[Note: By decorative tape, I mean any tape that can be easily ripped with your fingers, NOT the kind of tape that needs to be cut with scissors. It also needs to be the tape that doesn't have the paper backing on it that you have to peel off (sometimes the cheaper stores sell this kind). Decorative tape has many names (washi tape, paper tape, decorative craft tape, etc.)

Please decorate your envelopes with tape; the more the merrier. We want our envelopes to be seen and smiled at as they travel throughout the postal system.

***Minimum joining requirement: 4.98, with no 1s or 3s in the past 8 months.

I now just what you mean about the creases. When I send mine i wrap around the edges very loosely but I think it still creases. Great idea to to go for shorter samples.

Some seem to crease worse than others. For envelopes it's fine, but for cards, I like a nice smooth tape :)
