Description:

With permission from milamilamura I borrowed her swap idea found here http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/186116 (then tweaked it a bit) for a version all our own!

For this swap we will be sending 1 piece of happy mail to our partners specified person. This could be a friend, neighbor, family member, or even postal carrier. This should include at least 1 item from their list, and be at least a 1.00 minimum value. It should be sent in a very happily decorated envie (or package!) If you are sending it directly to your partners chosen recipient please also include a note that says they have received this on behalf of---- and include your partners name, that way they can be sure to thank your partner and your partner can know to rate you!

When you sign up: Post below whom you have chosen to recieve happy mail, and between 5-10 things that they would be happy to receive. You can either include their address below or say "ask me" to let your partner know you prefer to give them the address via pm, or say "mail to me" if you prefer it to be mailed to you.

To rate for this swap: Please rate your partner a 5 if your friend (or person of choice) receives their happy mail on time, and receives an item from the list. I can't imagine anyone would need to rate any other way, but because of the nature of this swap PLEASE communicate with your partner prior to rating anything lower, and please contact me to angel for you if needed.

I'm going to rate this a "3" as there is a creative component in the envie, and also the opportunity to send handmade items if your partner lists them.

Any questions? Please send me a message!

This mail is for my best friend Katie who LOVES to receive mail, especially happy mail! Her favorite colors are teal, purple, and silver. She adores owls, she loves to do embroidery and her favorite patterns are from sublime stitching. Any embroidery needles, or thread would be a great choice. She also likes space themed patterns, vintage patterns, and patterns for daily, weekly or monthly dish towels or calendars. She likes to send mail almost as much as she like receiving it so notecards or stationary would be great. Halloween is her favorite holiday and her birthday is October 1, so she celebrates all month. (Maybe you could tell her happy belated birthday, and happy Halloween too!) She is a writer, and she hoards felt tip pens of all types. Some of her favorites are ink joy and sharpies. Katie is a HUGE Weird Al fan, and an ever BIGGER Dr. Who fan. If you have Weird Al or Dr. Who items, that would be the bomb diggity bomb!!! She loves to read, a nice bookmark would also be a great choice. She recently joined swap-bot so you can check her profile out here: http://www.swap-bot.com/user:KatieOwl

Please mail directly to her:

Hello!
This mail is for my boyfriend, who tries to hide being a bit bummed out every time I receive happy mail from swapping since he never gets "fun mail," and we now share a mailbox. :) The address is the same is mine, but his name is Brendan Jones.
Brendan loves old postal stamps (non-self-adhesive) that are still usable/collectable, anything having to do with the airline industry, especially Pan-Am and Northwest Airlines (he works for Delta), baseball (especially the Minnesota twins), golf memoirs/anecdotes, Dr. Who (9, 10, and 11, but David Tennant is his favorite), all sorts of trivia, anything having to do with travel/transit--especially trains, and American History (especially the civil war). He is crazy about cycling (has several bikes and used to race), rock climbing, hiking, and camping, and is an Eagle Scout. If you have any personal travel suggestions of places to visit (anywhere in the world), like neat local restaurants or pubs, he would love that. He also likes to try new and quirky recipes, especially ones involving meats or other foods that can be made dairy-free. I hope this is enough for ideas, and thanks in advance for the great surprise. I LOVE the idea of this swap! :)

Hi! I would like to sign up on behalf of my husband who is always trying to steal my happy mail. =) All he gets is bills. =(

He likes things related to minecraft, halo, xbox (video games in general), jokes, pranks, he loves the look of fire, and he is an avid reader.

You would send it to my address and thank you so much for this awesome swap!

I love this swap idea! I'd like to sign up for my boyfriend, Darius Zandevakili (same address). He loves pokemon and nintendo games, dragons, runescape, doctor who, hunger games, game of thrones, medieval themes, birds/cats, Star Wars, spartacus, Christmas, his beard, food, breaking bad, lord of the rings, and fantasy/sci fi. He likes jokes/pranks, card/board games, recipes, and video games. Honestly a letter addressed to him with a nice note will go a long way!
