Special Delivery: Postage Stamp Mail Art

I made my first piece of mail art in a swap @grimmlynn hosted in this group, and it was so fun! Who's up for trying another one? This is a beginner level swap, and all group members in good standing are welcome to join.

I have been noticing a lot of interesting stamp designs coming out recently, and I also have a little stash of older stamps. Wouldn't it be fun to use one of these as the star of this swap?

Step 1:
Select a postage stamp that is interesting to you. Sender's choice! Be aware that your partner may be international to you, so you may need to affix more than one stamp. You, of course, can also use multiple stamps for domestic mail to add up to the correct amount. The choice is yours. :-)

Step 2:
Design/decorate an envelope around the theme of your postage stamp(s). The choice of materials is up to you: collage, rubber stamps, pen and ink, colored pencils, sharpies, etc.

Step 3:
Write a letter to enclose in the envelope to mail off to your partner. This does not have to be a long letter, but more than a few sentences. You may hand-write or type.

Step 4:
Seal up the letter in your artsy envelope, and send it off to your partner.

It's expected that swaps will be sent on time, on or before the send-by date. In the rare event that you must be late, please PM the swap host and your partner in advance of the deadline.
