SWL ~ it's all about me.

I got this idea the other day. :]

For this swap, you will have 1 partner & you will be sending them a swap that is all about you. This swap should be mixed media (meaning not just paper. for example card, ribbon, bits and bobs, ephemera, buttons, shells, atcs, stamps, postcards, stickers, embellishments, tea, letters, a variety of objects)

How can you tell your partner all about you without a letter?

How you make this swap is up to you. You can make a small smash journal, put items in a baggie, put all your items in an envelope, make small separate themed clear bags, make a parcel, happy mail, whatever goes as long as it is you

How can you express your personality through your swap? Are you a colourful person? Are you a cat lover? Do you love reading books? Are you obsessed with vintage?

The idea is that through the items you send, you should be telling a story about you & your life, through these objects. You can include whatever you want, and what you tell your partner about you, is up to you. Ideas could be:

• postcards of where you live
• things in your favourite colour
• express your personality. are you shy? pastel colours. are you outgoing and loud? bright colours.
• a small bag full of your "likes" e.g one small bag full of beach, if you love going to the beach, or one bag full of recipes & baking notes, because you are a baker.
• items that bring back memories for you, with a note telling your partner what it stands for
• if you're in a relationship; love themed items. if you have children; family portraits, baby/child cut-outs/cards or embellishments, etc.
• items that have the number that represents your age.
• a symbolic item that relates to your life, religion, family, an important moment in your life. recent new job? recently pregnant? new pet? travelled? birthday recently? show us/tell us through items!!
• favourite tv shows, characters, foods, drinks, ephemera.
• quotes that express yourself.

The list goes on and on. This swap is wide open, and as long as you choose a variety of items & a minimum of 8 pieces, it is up to sender how you go about it. Please include some sort of note, telling you partner something about what you have chosen and included, so they can piece everything together, and learn about you through what you have sent.
