Description:

Cut a piece of wax paper slightly larger that your GLOSSY cardstock. Crumple up the wax paper & then open it up. The idea is to have lots of wrinkles. Place the wax paper between 2 pieces of GLOSSY cardstock with the shiny sides facing each other. You can use full sheets or ATC size pieces.

Iron the cardstock using a little pressure. You are melting the wax paper onto the cardstock. I put a light weight towel under & on top of my cardstock to protect the ironing board. When cool, add ink with a sponge, cotton ball or brayer. Now wipe off with a paper towel. The melted wax paper will resist the ink. Add a sturdy backing.

This will now be the background for your ATC. One ATC for one partner.

Instead of crumpling, you can get an awesome result by sending your waxed paper through an embossing folder!

@thebragal you can host a wax paper & embossing folder swap if you want to.

Can you clarify the process? I feel like I'm missing a step. I iron two pieces of glossy cardstock together with waxed paper in between them. Then what? Do I pull them apart? What am I adding ink to--the wax paper? Or the glossy card stock?

Yes, you pull them apart, and it leaves wax on the glossy face of each piece of cardstock. Then you add ink to the glossy cardstock--dye ink, not pigment, 'cos you want it to dry. The wax areas resist the ink, and you get a cool pattern. Hope you will join, it's a very cool look...

Thank you gooddog56, SherriB had sent me a PM asking the same question & I answered her back with a PM. I appreciate you answering her tho in case there were others with the same question.
