Carpe Librum ~ May Book of the Month

One more attempt at a Book of the Month swap. To help chose a BOTM book, join the GoodReads group to vote in the poll and add your own suggestions. If this swap runs again ~ signups will be held from the end/middle of the month until the last day of the month, the send by day is the 15th of the month following the BOTM month. (Take note of any holidays/weekends ~ May's BOTM will be due Sat 6/14)

May Book of the Month ~

With BOTM, we'll have ONE book that everyone who joins will read. With reading the same book we will get the swap of what others thought about it. With the most votes at GoodRead, the May BOTM is ~

As everyone reads at different rates, please send when you have finished. If, as the receiver, you have not finished reading, please note in the comments here that you have received the swap and you will rate the swap as soon as you have finished reading. Rating is a HUGE part of SB, so we do ask that you at least let your partner know when you have received, then rate as soon as you have finished the book.

After you have read your book, please write to your partner at least TWO full pages (8.5x11/A4) or 1 full page if typed (small margins, small fonts). I'm no longer going to specify any certain questions you have to answer just make the swap long, not just "I like this".

Here are some questions to help you, if you aren't sure what to write. You can use any or none of these, as long as your swap length is the full 2 pages by hand or 1 if typed.

• What was the book about?
• Did you like or dislike it?
• Who was your favorite character?
• What was your favorite part? What was your least favorite?
• Have you read any other books by this author?
• Would you read any others because of this book?
• Were there any situations or characters in the book that you identified with? How?
• Did you like the book from the beginning or did it take you a while to get into it?
• Would you change anything about the book?
• Would you ask the author a question if you could? What would you ask?
• Would you recommend this book to other readers?
• What surprised you the most about the book?
• What is the significance of the title? Would you have given the book a different title? If yes, what is your title?
