Description:

Sorry about the USA only, but I'll probably be doing that until I get completely used to Swap-bot and completely familiar with postage prices.

In this swap you will have one partner and send them ten nice embellishments. For example, for mine, I'm sending some butterfly jewels, random-shaped jewels, heart and flower jewels, and something extra that I'm not telling! =)

I made this a small swap because I don't have that much in supplies (which is why I want to swap and get some variety!). It was actually based on another swap I saw (http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/17300) and wanted to join but couldn't because you have to send a total of fifty embellishments, and I don't even have that many myself. SO, that's why for this one you only have to send ten embellishments.

Also, since it doesn't take long to get ten embellishments together and put them in an envelope and drop them in the drop box, I wanted to make this QUICK, so the last day to sign up is Monday, June 23rd, and the last day to put your envelope in the mail is Wednesday, June 25th. If you think you might not be able to do it that quick, either let me know BEFORE joining (if you really want to join) and I might change it, or start your own swap with different deadlines!

If you want to look at your partner's profile to see what she likes before sending (such as if you have a huge selection of things to choose from), that is fine, but not required.

I'll be checking for any bad swappers, just to let you know.

SHIPPING NOTE I just thought I should mention in case anyone isn't aware of this, the total shipping cost for this, in a regular sized envelope, is going to be $.59.. that's your normal $.42 stamp plus a $.17 surcharge for "non machinable mail." Since most of what I send out has this surcharge, I went to the post office and bought enough $.17 stamps to match my $.42 stamps so that I didn't have to make a trip to the post office every single time I send something. If you don't have any $.17 stamps, you should either take your envelope to the post office and pay there, or just add another $.42 stamp to the envelope. Also, you might want to consider writing "Handle carefully" on your envelope, just in case.

I think that's everything, but if you need to know anything else, just contact me or leave a comment below. Thanks for swapping!

Note I didn't think of this before so I'm coming back to add it. Make sure your embellishments can't fall out of your envelope during the shipping process. You can either put them in a tiny ziploc bag or do what I did and simply fold them up in a small piece of paper and staple it to hold them together. Also, if you're sending something that you think could be easily broken or bent, you should wrap it carefully or put it in a bubble wrap envelope, in which case the shipping charges I posted above won't be accurate and I don't know how much extra that costs. Thanks!

I seem to have collected a lot of brads lately, so that's what I plan to send. And I agree with you, I like the 10 at a time ( instead of 50). For me, that was a lot to get together. Thanks for hosting this one.

You're welcome, FingersInc! I would have made it 15 or 20, but to be honest, that wouldn't leave me with much. I have only been making ATC's for like a week and the only embellishments I have are a few things that I bought for specific ATC's, ha. And right now I'm having to save up every penny so I can't afford to spend any money on any more, even if they DON'T cost much. So this was really essential for me, no problem at all to host it!

(To everyone else, I should mention, the postage cost I put above was assuming no one used any heavy embellishments. If you use any that would make the envelope weigh more than an average letter, it might cost more than what I posted.)

Great swap idea - simple, quick, inexpensive, nice way to share some supplies :)

Mailed mine around ten last night but mine has a pretty long way to go, haha. Can't wait to get my embellishments too! And this is the first public swap that I've done that is finished (the Patriotic ATC one still has a few weeks left) and it makes me really happy to look at the list of people and see "sent" by everyone's name! Yay! =)
