Description:

For this swap you take a page from the dictionary, pick a word, and illustrate it. The book page in the above is a nice example, but in this case the illustration must relate to the word and you must highlight the word and the definition. How you make the word stand out is entirely your choice. If you use a dictionary that's not in English, translate the word and the definitions.

Don't just put a sticker/magazine clipping on it and send it out. Put some work into it, make it nice to look at. All materials are A Okay. Don't fold the page when you send it out. Find (or make) an envelope in which it will fit without creasing.

This swap goes from A to Z. For this swap, we continue with the letter G. The page can't be larger than A4 size and can't be smaller than A5 size (give or take a little here and there, just no A6 and A3). Paper size chart , under International Paper Sizes.

When all swaps are done, we'll have our own illustrated (mini-)dictionary; all we have to do is bind it!

(Ratings of 4.8 and up. No recent 1s or 3s, I ban anyone I consider a risk. No unrated swappers.)

If there's anyone who's missed Page F, get in touch with me because I might be able to hook you up with someone for a private swap

I have a sheet, that says, "eat drink and be merry" I'd be happy to swap, but I purchased it. It is good quality and color. Would that be OK? I got it for my wedding a year ago..

just a few quick hints ;-)
I put my finished pages in clear page protectors and have a cute lil peacock ed hardy 3 ring binder i am collecting them in!....
so i send my pages in a clear page protector and put that in a pocketed folder (I got lots of pretty decorated folders at office depot when they had an after school supply clearance) ... That helps protect them in the mail too.... and mail them in the large Manilla Envies ;-) Tape down the edges and flaps with clear packaging tape....and if you put stamps on tape it is so easy to get them off to decorate with ;-) I like to use canceled stamps on these and rolos for embellishments...ps, i do embellish my Illustrated Dictionary pages too ;-) MY Flamingo did turn out gorgeous (If i do say so myself!!! ;-) ....G, G, Ghost? Grasshoppers, Goats? I gotta look in my Dictionary collection and see what Illustrations they have...I always do something that already has an illustration! It just adds to it.... and since the backs show, i lightly decorate the back too!!!

So, I got a really small page that is 5" x 7 5/8".... The link above to see the size chart is not working on this swap or the prior Letter swaps.... I did get this info from the comments on a previous swap.... Comment By @KraftyKaren 12/10/2013 # The size is not smaller than 5.8" x 8.3" but no bigger than 8.3" x 11.5".

Should I ask my partner for the right size?
