C+P Techniques: Photomontage

A photomontage is created by taking multiple images, in part or whole, and recombining them to create a new image. For this swap, we will be making our own original cut+paste photomontages.

Keep your compositions "simple" - that is, there's no need to add embellishments, paint effects, stenciling, other mediums, etc. - this is all about reassembling paper images to create a new image. Your finished piece should look like a photograph itself. If you have any questions about this, just ask! :)

Create your photomontage on a sturdy base like a double layer of card stock, recycled cardboard packaging or mat board. Minimum size is 5"x7". On the back, leave your name/user name and a title (if your piece has one). Send your photomontage to your partner in an envelope with a little note letting them know what swap it's for.
