What's a gelli plate? I'm curious!

You can make your own gelli plate that will last for a few weeks in the fridge. If it's a no go for you, then any kind of altered paper you have made will be fine.

I spent hours, watching you tube videos about making a gelli plate. If you add glycerine and not water, then the plate wont mold. I am think of just buying one at the store with a 40% off coupon, and save myself the time. But it is cheaper to make one with Gelatin. The paper backgrounds that you can make are awesome.

I wanted to add that Michael's does not sell Gelli plates. So no use using my 40% coupon there on that.

Online the cost ranges from $19.99 to $69.99.

I found mine on eBay for $20. For some reason they haven't reached the big stores yet.

Gelli printing is addictive! If you find the gelli plate youtube channel, they will also show you how to do monoprinting using glass and other things. So fun to play with paints!
