We all loved to read when we were kids. And we will always remember those nice illustrations from the books. Just a few examples: Miffy, Little Polar Bear, Beatrix Potter, Barbapapa, Paddington, Alice in wonderland, and many many others.

You send one postcard to one partner. This card must be storebought, so no homemade postcards! Freecards with children's book illustrations are allowed, but no advertising cards. The cards must be written and stamped.

No unexplained 1-ratings. Newbies are allowed, as long as they have a wellfilled-out profile.

The swap information above states "must be storebought" but then states "Freecards . . . . are allowed". I have postcards which were given to me in a bookshop. Are they allowed? I did not pay for them.

I see a difference between freecards and adcards.

A freecard is given for free, but is actually a normal postcard, so no advertising on the front, and perhaps a little information about a book on the backside.

An advertising card has some text on the front, and also some text on the backside. I don't like advertising cards in this swap.

So: yes a freecard is allowed (as long as it is a children's book illustration card) In The Netherlands many freecards are given away in bookshops, and you can hardly see any difference between a storebought card and a freecard.

Thank you for the explaination. The cards I have are freecards so I will join the swap.
