Share Your Vocabulary

Hi! This is my first swap hosting for this group. I thought I'd start small and easy. I get to listen to headphones at work, so I've been downing the audiobooks. I'm trying to listen to a bunch of classics plus nonfiction...with, of course, some gratuitous Stephen King mixed in.

Anyway, I keep coming across all kinds of words that I have to look up. I thought it would be fun to share some unusual vocabulary words with each other! Please pick 20 words that are uncommon and rarely found in today's writing. You can search a dictionary, your books, or your memory. Write the word with its definition and make a comment about each one. You could tell the book you found it in, use it in a sentence, or say what you think about the word in any respect. Hopefully, we'll all improve our writing skills a bit.

I prefer to receive something in my mail box to an email, and I hope you do too. You can type or hand write the swap. Maybe include a little something extra for your partner.
