Description:

For this swap you will send one new or established deco to one partner.

Some guidelines:
* No homers/last page decos.
* Send something sturdy and nice.
* The person the deco is for (who it will return to) should be clearly noted on the front or back cover.
* Don't send someone a deco they've already done a page in.
* A deco should have a front and back cover.
* Decos should have at least 4 pages folded to make 8 pages.
* Theme is sender's choice.
* Newbies are allowed with filled out profiles.

I believe no one should host swaps they aren't willing to angel themselves. I will angel if necessary, but I screen participants to minimize the risk of flakers getting in. I will remove participants with poor ratings, open swaps, drama, comments, or other swapping history that concerns me at my discretion. If you have negative swapping history and want to participate, please proactively PM me to explain. Otherwise, I may ban you with no notice if I am suspicious.

This swap is U.S. only on account of postage costs. If you want an international version, feel free to host your own. :)

According to the Swap-Bot Glossary:
A deco is similar to a friendship book and there are a wide variety of types. It is a bound book of pages which are sent around the world. The person that the book is “for” is usually listed on the cover and when the book becomes full it is sent back to them. Each person that receives and signs the deco will decorate one page according to the theme of the booklet (if there is one) and put their postal/email address and sign their name. Typically, each entrant in the “deco” must use one full page to express themselves. Glitter, sequins, feathers and other scrapbooking supplies are frequently used in “decos.” Despite the artistic expressions used in these types of friendship books, the basic rules of passing the friendship book to person to person is the same.

If you are new to decos, I can try and explain them better.

Can a deco book be a storebought book with blank pages that is bound as in stitched but not by me? (I was in a car accident and have 6 torn tendons in my wrist/thumb so binding myself is not possible) has a front and back cover and has my theme? I am new to decos. TY

@transplanted1 decos average a year per page without a flight list so anything with a large page count would be as good as gone once it left your hands.

@transplanted1 ~ 'binding' can be as simple as stapling the pages together. It doesn't have to be stitched. Often, the ones I have received have approximately 5 pages (which would be 10 people), and then a front/back cover of some sort. some people have used cardstock that they covered with packing tape, some have used recycled cardboard that they decorated. It has varied. :)

I am willing to take any excess... especially if someone would like to receive the excess label bags I have! I adore Decos but label bags aren't really my bag <-- pun intended. :)
