Number of people in swap:8
Location:Other
Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:January 10, 2007
Date items must be sent by:February 1, 2007
Number of swap partners:3
Description:

If you are intrigued, inspired or just plain morbidly fascinated by the workings of the human body, maybe you'd like to create and exchange some ATCs relating to it?

Standard Artist Trading Card rules apply as to size (3.5in x 2.5in). The card should be able to fit into a sleeve for storage. Make 3 cards for 3 partners and receive nine cards if everyone plays fair. The swap won't start for awhile and will have a long working time because this is kind of a big one. If you want to make 3 sets of identical cards, I don't think anyone will mind.

You might find this site interesting (or you might hate it): http://www.bodyworlds.com/index.html

You can request exhibit materials from them free by mail as I have.

I'm really excited about this swap! I just saw the Body Worlds 3 exhibit last week in Vancouver, Canada, and it is so interesting and fascinating.

do these have to be the whole body or can we do a specific organ.... for like one card?

mercuriousmith 12/ 6/2006 #

dreamhope- I missed bodyworlds in Houston; silly of me- it was here for six months. BUT, I see it's now in Dallas- only 4 or 5 hours away now. So, I am committing to go before this swap finishes.

And Hiedi= specific organs are fine. My first atc ever was a drawing of the heart and its chambers. It'll be great!

thanks for being interested :)

This sounds great, is it international?

mercuriousmith 12/ 8/2006 #

Yes, international, absolutely. Postage for little packets is always pretty cheap, I've found.

I am so excited about this swap! I homeschool my kids and I have a 7 yr old who is really into anatomy. This will be a great excuse to spend some extra time at the library with him.

Hi all,

The last end date is tomorrow and mine went out yesterday, practically at the last minute. I enjoyed scouring the internet, my old textbooks and a newly purchased book that I am glad to have. Worrying about no-sends drove me pretty crazy on this one. It was a big swap- time intensive I think & it worries me that someone might not get their well-deserved cards. So, my solution is to offer a swap-angel. My husband or brother will start some cards if I hear you haven't received your cards by, say Feb. 9th. So maybe they'll be late, but everyone should get 3 cards. Please message me by the messaging system rather than here on this board so I can be sure to read it right away. I hope this makes everyone comfortable.
