Vintage Images of Our Relatives

My grandmother recently passed away and for her funeral I had the privilege of going through all the pictures of her when she was younger to make a collage. I scanned as many pictures that I could find of her so I would always have them to cherish. I loved these old photos of her and it got me thinking that it would be neat to share them with other people.

For this swap you will send your partner 15-20 GOOD quality reproductions of vintage pictures of your relatives. They need to be vintage images from the 1960's and before. The older the better. Please keep them around 4x6 in size. Please use popular websites like Shutterfly or places like Costco to reproduce your images. You can use your home printer only if you have high quality photo paper and a good photo printer. No pixelation or crappy paper please. Photo copies are not acceptable either.

Along with the pictures please include notes that explain who the pictures are of and when apx the picture was taken. The more back story you can give the better. Please make sure the pictures are of people. Nature pictures don't look much different over the years.

I like to use vintage images in collages and for random art projects so that's one use that you could use these pictures for.

For hearts you can send extra pictures, other ephemera, or profile surprises.

To participate in this swap you need to have:

~ Completed at least 10 recent snail mail swaps.

~ Have at least 5 hearts.

~ No Nosends in the last six months.

~ 4.8 or higher.

If you have a no-send but it wasn't a fair one please email me before signing up and I'll make exceptions for certain cases.

I will ban questionable swappers and people who do not meet the requirements before I assign partners and will be able to angel pictures of my grandma to anyone who was flaked on.
