Description:

For this swap, you will send one postcard to 2 partners. Postcards may be handmade or store bought - that's up to you.

On the postcards you will list 2 "unique" facts about you. These facts can be quirky, serious, or just plain ridiculous - as long as they are something that you feel makes you unique.

For example:

  • Three of the cats I've had in my life have had 13 toes.
  • I've eaten fried worms.

If you want to describe your unique fact to your swap partner you can - it will only make it more fun!

This is the first swap I'm coordinating so I wanted to keep it small. Being new myself, new people are welcome. This swap is open to everyone.

This is going to be fun! I already have an awesome idea :) One question though: Should each postcard have one fact, or should they both have two?

user4896 12/ 5/2006 #

Oh, sorry - both postcards should have Two facts on them!

kpducki 12/21/2006 #

Do you have to send different facts to each person?

user4896 12/22/2006 #

Ducki - No, that's not necessary. If you have enough, go for it, but not required.

user4177 12/23/2006 #

For this swap, is there a preference as to how the post cards are sent?

I know that a lot of people prefer post cards to be naked for the stamp and postmark, but it's difficult to throw in a few extra goodies without an envelope. ;)

user4896 12/23/2006 #

requiscat - there are no requirements for that; do as you wish, but understand that you may only get naked postcards in return.

Hi! Just got my partners today so I started making the cards. I have a question--should we postmark the cards and send those, or put the cards in an envelope so that our partners can use them whenever they'd like? I know I would love stamped/mailed out out postcards (I collect stamped postcards with messages on them, but others might not). If there is no requirement, I'll have to flip a coin :)

SouthernXpacific and Missslady: Your PCs are in the mail today - please note it takes at least 3-4 weeks for mail from Canada to reach you in the U.S. (I would send it registered but that would cost $10.85 per card!) Tassy

user4896 12/28/2006 #

weirdindy04 - no requirements in either direction

user5163 01/ 5/2007 #

user4896 01/ 5/2007 #

Ducki - that question was answered already but again - no preferences either way :)

TerryF 01/ 5/2007 #

Hi MrsQ: Received your PC yesterday - sounds like your parents and mine went to the same school! Thx!

user4618 01/ 6/2007 #

I'm lagging but my postcards will definitely go out Monday, just under the wire, eh?

simindy 01/ 7/2007 #

Hey guys! My cards are going out on Monday, and today I got a PC from littledragon. It's lovely! I can't imagine walking through so many butterflies, you're so lucky for having done it twice! Your mutton/cat story made me laugh a lot (and cringe a little, teehee).

Newbie question--how do we leave feedback once we've received our items?

Thanks everyone!

user4896 01/ 8/2007 #

weirdindy - in the faq's you will see it says that, seven days after the "send by" date of the swap, you will then come back to this swap and up at the top will be an option to leave feedback for your partners - you click that link and it will take you through the rest.

Zanara 01/19/2007 #

Hi I received a postcard today, but there was no name on it. It's a "Stella Mars" card. Is it from you Melinda?

simindy 01/20/2007 #

Ainsmar and tanasattic,

I got the postcards returned to me today. I had them in an envelope with other things and I guess I didn't have enough postage on either envelope. I sent the postcards out today by themselves, and will send your extra goodies out once I get new envelopes :( Sorry, it was upsetting to get those returned to me. Next time when I have a thicker envelope I'll put tons of extra postage on it. Hopefully you get the postcards soon!

user5399 01/22/2007 #

Hello Pinkdonutsrock... did you get my package?

user5399 01/23/2007 #

Hello Weirdindy04

Thank you I received your pc today.. :):) what a wonderful way to use an old sewing pattern enevelope. :) I think that I actually have a very similar pattern. I am going to put your card up in my sewing room for all to see. Thank you again and I have changed your rating too. Have a great day.

user5163 01/23/2007 #
