Description:

I saw a picture (courtesy of Ozrob's flickr) of some advent matchbox trees she made. I loved them, and i would like to do a swap with similar construction.

so here goes:

minimum of 5 large (250 ct) matchboxes and minimum of 6 small (32 ct) matchboxes to be used.

boxes are to be glued together in some appealing configuration to where all drawers are accessible and it is able to be displayed.

once boxes are together, the entire configuration must be decorated and adorned- make it something you would want to display in your room.

all drawers must be filled to capacity with trinkets, gifts, bobbles, goodies, etc. be aware of partners dislikes and allergies.

put it in a box, well wrapped, and ship it off to your wonderful partner with a smile and a giggle. :D

for the lowdown on the fine print:

5.0 with ten rated mail swaps to participate. flakers will be tarred, feathered, shot and buried...under concrete. ok, enough with the threats :) US AND CANADA due to weight. i apologize to all the international folks that are just wonderful, but this may be hard on the wallet to ship across the world. I cant wait for this one.....lots of time to work on it, so please dont wait til last minute and then say you cant do it......

A couple of days ago my partner sent a 8"x8" envelope, in it my Matchbox Tower..NOT..she admits it is not a tower but hopes I like it anyway. I was totally disapointed as I read and followed the requirements for this swap and have made a tower with 6 large matchboxes and 6 small boxes and I am working on filling my 'drawers' now and I don't need to tell you swappers how much money filling the large boxes has cost us.There is nothing I can do but be dissapointed and give a low score when that comes up. I wish people would be honest and forthright and do what they said they where going to do.I know my Tower is going to be a really great box and the recipent will apprecate having the TOWER of my dreams.I take a lot of pride in my art work and comments. The host of this swap said she would tar and feather, shoot and bury any flackerd under concrete.
