Description:

The June 2013 Fandom in a Mini Bag swap is the Chronicles of Narnia.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, books, moments, versions, etc.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 5 different items although more is certainly encouraged to make your bag look full of goodies.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, bookmarks, address labels, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fanfic drabbles/ficlets, etc.

More specific ideas: mini wardrobe with surprise inside, a magician's ring, versions of Peter's or Susan's or Lucy's gifts from Father Christmas, map of the realm of Narnia, ways to recognize the real Aslan, pages of the magician's book, Reep's advice on being brave, recipes from the giant's recipe books, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 quart (AT LEAST 8.5inches by 7 inches or 21.5cm by 18cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a quart in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of June and please send by the deadline (July1)

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! All flakers will never reach Aslan's country.

The thing I want the most is a map of Narnia for my home library where I'm putting up book-related maps of my favorite places (store-bought, online-bought, or handmade would all be great!). I've always identified as Lucy :-) My favorite book is Voyage of the Dawn Treader--I love the ship, the quest, the adventures. Books I also adore are: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (so magical), The Magician's Nephew (amazing to watch how the world came into being), and The Silver Chair (another great quest). My favorite of the recent Disney/Walden movies is Prince Caspian (I saw it 4 times in the theater and seriously love every second of it SO much). I grew up with the BBC movies and they were among the first DVDs I ever bought. I had a crush on Peter when I was a kid :-) Favorite characters are: Lucy, Peter, Mr. Tumnus, the beavers, Aslan, Ed after his change, Eustance after his change, Puddleglum, Reepicheep, Prince/King Caspian, Trufflehunter the badger, Maugrim (I love wolves and he's such a loyal baddie). I love the wardrobe, the lamp post, the Dawn Treader ship, Susan's horn, Lucy's healing potion, Aslan's signs, the stone table, and anything that looks Narnian (like a lion drawer handle/door knocker). I am not Christian, so I tend to like to look at Narnia as magical the way I did as a child rather than a religious allegory. Message me if you need more specifics or have questions! (PS- I have all the movie soundtracks already)

My favourite book has always been The Silver Chair, followed by The Magician's Nephew and The Horse and His Boy. I like the other books too, of course, but there's a special place in my heart for those ones. Of the Disney movies, my favourite is Prince Caspian, though I really wish they'd have continued making the rest of the series. My favourite characters are: Aslan, Caspian X, Susan, Lucy, Edmund, Mr. Tumnus, Reepicheep, Shasta/Cor, Aravis Tarkheena, Bree, Eustace after his change, Digory and Polly. I really love the wardrobe, rings, lamp post, guinea pigs (!), Susan's horn, Lucy's potion, the stone table, Peter's sword, Turkish Delight, the Dufflepuds, the Silver Chair, and anything that follows a similar aesthetic to Narnia (either book or movie version). I do think of the story as a religious allegory, but will not be offended by anyone else's opinions.

My favorite book is The Magician's Nephew. It absolutely captivated me when I read it. I'd love anything that represents the magic and wonderment of the world. The "fairy" godmother, the rings, lamppost, wardrobe, the tree, Aslan, the woods, the animals. I also love the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I love the Pevensie family - especially Lucy. I love Mr. Tumnus (though, that can be because I love James McAvoy). I don't really own any merchandise. So I'd really love anything I could wear or use. :)

My favourite book is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - I love ships in general and I love the adventures that they were on. My second favourite is The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe - the magical entry into Narnia always amazes me. I also love Prince Caspian - the whole story especially the castle. My other 2 favs are The Magician's Nephew and The Silver Chair.

My favourite characters are Aslan, Lucy, Mr Tumnus, the beavers and Prince Caspian. I also love the wardrobe, lamp post, Peter's sword, Dawn Treader ship, the stone table, everything and anything Narnian.
