Batik stash builders April international

I am going to start off with a thank you to @siouxx05 for letting me take over this swap with it got to be too expensive for her to continue.

This will be a series of swaps (one colour per month) to build a well rounded stash of batik fabrics that can be used in any project. *the colours have been edited. If this doesn't suit everyone, please let me know so we can work something out..)

For March the colour will be Yellow. Buy 1/2 yard of two different batik fabrics. Make into 4 FQs. Keep 2 FQs for yourself and mail the other 2 to your partner.

The specifics:

Buy 100% cotton QUILT SHOP QUALITY fabrics. Don’t buy a 99 cent FQs from JoAnn and call it a day. Please aim to buy premium quilting weight fabrics. I won’t restrict it to designer fabrics since they can be pricey, but if you’re going to get it from a chain store, make sure it is high quality and that you would want to use it on your own projects. I’d say around $10 per yard retail is a reasonable price (of course you can buy it on sale to save some money).

No solids. The fabrics should “read” one colour, but have some sort of print. If you need ideas, check out the stash builders section at Pink Castle Fabrics, or search blenders by colour on other sites.

Here’s the schedule in case anyone wants to buy ahead:

April -- Yellow

May -- Red

June -- Grey

July -- Pink

August -- Navy/Indigo

September -- Black/White (black or white, black with white, white with black..)

October -- Lime/Citron

November -- Orange

December -- Brown/Beige

International swap. If you don't want to send international, don't join.. yes, postage is going up all over the world all the time, but that shouldn't stop us having beautiful fabric from somewhere else.. (I am also hosting one like this that is USA only... Look for it!)

4.95 rating, no recent 1s or 3s, and please have at least 10 type 2+3 swaps under your belt. The send date is the end of the month, so shop for deals now :) Hopefully nobody flakes, but if anyone would be willing to buy a couple extra half yards to angel please let me know.

If you received 2 FQ of high quality quilting fabric in the specified colour from each partner, rate a 5. You can not rate down based on taste.
