Description:

ALL SWAPPERS IN MY PREVIOUS #1 and #2 ROUNDS, PLEASE START A NEW SQUARE FOR THE INT'L VERSION. I WANT TO TRY TO KEEP THE USA SQUARES IN THE UNITED STATES. MARK ON YOUR CENTER TAG "ok to send International" IF YOU DON'T CARE WHERE IT GOES.

In this swap, you will have 3 partners.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS SWAP:
You will send each partner the starting row of a granny square. It's called a "granny daughter". Yarn color and pattern is sender's choice, as long as it is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn. Here are the instructions:

Step 1: Ch 6. Join with a sl st to form a ring. (If you want less hole in the center, chain 3 or 4 instead) You can also make a "magic circle"
Step 2: Ch. 3, 2 dc, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2) 3 times, sl st to join to the 3rd chain stitch from foundation loop. Fasten off. It should look like this:

Step 3. Safety pin a paper tag to Round 1 of your square with the following:
Your Name (swap-bot name)
Your Address
City, State, Zip Country
(please indicate somewhere on the tag "ok to send international") Send 1 of these to each of your 3 partners.

IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN A PREVIOUS ROUND:

Add a row to the granny squares you got from your partners in the previous round. Yarn color is sender's choice, as long as it is 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn. Here are some instructions if you need them:

As the rounds progress and the squares get bigger, we will use this instruction:
Before and after you add your row, measure the square. Once the square gets to be 6" (15.25cm), mail it to the owner (a tag should still be safety pinned to the center) and send your partner a "new" starter square (see directions at the top of this description).

Send one of the squares to each of your 3 new partners. Leave the tag pinned to the center so the square can eventually find its way home in a later swap. If you get a same partner as previous round, try to send them one of your other squares from another partner so we each get a different square for the next round. (I hope that makes sense, please say something if it is too confusing)

Everyone crochets differently, so some squares might come home sooner than others. That is ok, our goal is 6 inch squares (15.25cm). If your square comes home and it is NOT close to 6 inches(15.25cm) yet, feel free to add another row and send it along as if it is someone else's square. That is bound to happen since partners are assigned randomly by the computer.

Any questions, please send me a message. Newbies welcome, but please no flakers. If you have a rating less than 5.0 please send me a message with explanation. We want swappers that will keep the squares flowing. I am opening this up to International to hopefully attract some more crocheters.
NOTE: SOMETIMES LIFE CATCHES US UNAWARE AND WE HAVE WELL MEANING INTENTIONS WE HAVE TO BREAK. IF YOU HAVE TO DROP, PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL AND I WILL ANGEL! We want to keep the squares flowing.

ANOTHER NOTE: IF YOU HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL PARTNER, PLEASE SEND EARLY! DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE DEADLINE TO SEND!

Ok so I received two granny daughters and now wondering what to do with them after I put on my colour?

EvetteOgden 05/20/2013 #

add a row then wait for the next round to send them to your next set of partners. I thought the description was clear.

Evette, I am still learning and just want to be sure I am not messing up the swap for anyone.
