C+P ATC: New Year, New Technique

The start of a new year is the perfect opportunity for trying new things - and ATC's are the perfect little canvases for trying out new artistic techniques. For this swap, create 2 ATC's for 1 partner using new artistic techniques and/or mediums you've never tried before.

Some possible ideas that might be new to you (some are linked to tutorials):

• hand-carved rubber stamp
• styrofoam block printing
• adding texture with modeling paste or other textured mediums
• acrylic paint transfer
• paper napkin overlay
• machine stitching on paper
• marbled paper
• resists (crayon, wax, embossing powder)
• packing tape transfer...

You can employ the same, different or even multiple new techniques on your cards. The overall composition of your cards needs to be in keeping with the cut+paste collage style of the group; the new techniques can be applied to the background, as part of the collage, as an embellishment, as a finish, etc. Artwork and theme are all sender's choice, so you can start playing around now. Usual ATC requirements apply: 2.5"x3.5" in size, sturdy base, your info of choice on the back. Include a note with your cards about the new technique(s) you used.
