Description:

Hello Crafting Queens of Canada :)!

For this swap we will not be focusing so much on whats IN the envelope as we will on whats ON the envelope! You can mail your partner a letter, a postcard, an ATC, a note and an ATC, a craft pattern, or a flat profile surprise... basically, I'll leave that up to you and because you’re Crafting Queens, I just know you will choose something great. :)

However, when it comes to the envelope, this is where you will truly get your chance to shine.

I want you to decorate the envelope in such a way that even the mail person wants to know whats in it and wishes it was for them! (in fact you can even add a hello to the mail person on the envelope if you wish. I have thought of doing this many times, now I have no excuse not to!)

You can use cut outs and glue, ephemera, paint, fibers, felt pens, fabric, ... all of the above or whatever moves you.. but please, please, please, lets keep the stickers to just add impact or a touch here and there... they should not be the main decoration.

Be sure to attach whatever you use in such a way as to keep it safe during its journey. I will use clear mac tac if need be and it seems to work good if you don't mind your mail being wrapped in plastic.

You will have one partner. Lets dazzle them, shall we?

You don't have to wait to find out who your partner is before you decorate your envie... but you can if you want to specialize it somehow for them. :)

  • The envelope in the swap photo is one I recently sent out. I decorated the front and back (differently and not as much) but I put the address on the back with the stamp leaving the whole front as my "canvas".. :)
