From home to home, and heart to heart, from one place to another, the warmth and joy of the holidays, brings us closer to each other.

With the holidays just around the corner, we thought it would be nice to have an Ornament Swap. For those of you who are new to the world of swapping; it is pretty much what it says - you make something then send it away and in return, you receive a creation made by someone else within our community of very talented, wonderful members! For this Ornament Exchange you will be making and sending just one ornament. We want to keep is as simple as possible and not overwhelm you with ornament making. The ornaments can be altered art or handmade from scratch. Be creative and just have fun with it!

Due to the varied religious beliefs of our members we ask that the ornaments you swap not be of religious nature and that they are just about the artistic expression.

Once the sign up date has passed you will recieve an email when partners have been assigned. Come back here and click on the swap page. You will see a yellow box in the top right hand of your screen and "view partners to send" will appear. This is where you will get your partners details. When your ornament is ready, simply pop it in the mail and let the recipient know it is on the way and also go to the same box and click "sent to partner". Once you receive your ornament, you can go to "rate your partner and co-ordinator" where you will be able to rate your partner, give them a heart if you feel they sent something extra special, and also leave a comment.

When rating, please keep in mind that you are rating the experience, not the person’s ability.

We would love to see your ornaments, so feel free to share photo’s in the Swap Group on the Things Crafty website! The last day to join the Ornament Exchange Swap is November 1, 2012. You will have the entire month to work on your ornament and send it off. Ornaments should all be mailed no later than Friday, November 30, 2012. This is going to be a great swap so come join the fun! The more the merrier!!!
