Description:

With her permission, I am taking over this swap for Faun00 for the time being. Image borrowed from Faun00's swap series

This is a continuing swap, and the rules will be the same as in previous Blackout Poetry Swaps. I will be hosting one at least every three weeks as long as there is interest. You will have one week after your partner is assigned to send.

For this swap, photocopy a page from your favorite book (or you may use an actual book page if you like). Black out all but a few words creating a poem from the words.

To make this nice for people to put in their journal your info will NOT be on the back... You will put at least your name, date, location (i.e. city, state, country, as it's always nice to see where your swaps came from) and final poetry words on a separate paper to be put into your partner's journal on a facing page.

You will have 2 partners and will send a different photocopied blackout poem to each of them (you can always send more if you feel inspired). Pages should be no larger than composition book page size (apprx 7.5 x 9.5).You can decorate it if you wish, but it is not a requirement. Use your imagination and have fun! Send something you would like to receive.

We will NOT actually mail journals around, but we will decorate our own journals to paste our received poetry into. Please use a book that is at least composition notebook size, as that should be about the right size for any of the swaps you get.

A rating of 4.8 or above please to participate in this swap. Message me if you are lower, but I will not tolerate flakers. Will angel if necessary. Responsible newbies with well-filled profiles are welcome.

Hi. Maybe once you could host a swap, where it is not a photocopied page of a book, but article clipped out of magazine/newspaper? That glued on a paper, so that it could still be added to peoples journals.

Good idea, I will consider making a future swap that uses newspaper/magazine articles instead of book pages. :) :)

this is great, I love blackout poetry. We have a group called "Altered Text and Artist Books" if anyone would like to join?

This would so cool if I could join this swap :D I write poetry myself and I think it's be awesome to see what other people out there are writing :D I am a newbie though :S

I have recently cut out part of the page in a shape. Then the poetry is found within that shape. Since the pages must be smaller than and not as big as, this idea could work.

If the host disagrees with this idea, please ban me. I am on a trip starting early tomorrow and will not be able to get back for sure, until after sign up is over.

I will do my poem while I am on the trip, but the 'page' will be a design of a tag, large one.

@AmyBird newbies are allowed with well filled profiles, so get to filling. :^)

As long as it uses an actual book page and follows the rest of the requirements, that's no problem @fawnscrafts
