this is a great swap idea, and I'm delighted to see it's been made easier for international swappers to join in. just a question: how do you define "handmade craft item"? does "craft item" always mean knitting or sewing and the likes, or does that include paper crafting as well?

Hey there! Great question. In the dictionary of Heather, "handmade craft item" would mean something you made by hand - the crafty supplies you use are up to you, and paper crafting definitely counts! I think I'll change the details to read "handcrafted item". Does that clarify things a bit?

Have you set a limit on cost?

I think the cost should be very minimal. Chances are you'll likely have most of the items in your craft stash (perhaps with the exception of the "something scented"). Cost should really be no more than $5 (before shipping). And depending on the size of your handcrafted item, most items will probably fit into an envelope which should help to keep shipping costs low too.

Sorry, i have a problem about the translation of "handcrafted items" again ! Does this mean that it is something i've done myself or is it something handmade by any artist we can find in some appropriate shops ?? Thanks !

It should be something you make yourself - whatever your chosen craft is!

croque-choux: All that is meant by the sixth item is that for future "A Little Bit of Everything" Swaps the sixth item will change, i.e. it won't necessarily be something scented, but could be something "tasty" or something "blue". It's just to keep thing interesting!

Bethne, if you come around here, I have mailed your parcel on November 21st, it's now 12 days that it is on its way towards you, so I hope you will get it soon !! I must say that i'm getting anxious about the fact that it takes so much time. They said it would take only one week at the post office ! :-/

Batraplume, your AMAZING package came today! I cannot say enough how wonderful your gifts were. I was shocked and so happy to recieve them! For your first swap, you outdid yourself. I was so touched. I am going to upload an image of the package. One thing is missing from the picture though, the Nougats. I showed them to my mother and she has started eating them and won't give them back! =) Thank you so much. It made my day!

Not a jot I'm afraid, she should have got my parcel, but have not had nay word or feedback, although my partner has just emailed me to say she has sent mine out today! Have you tried contacting her by email? good luck!

Poor you Batra, I have had that problem, and there is nothing worse when you have sent a lovely package out to someone and you do not receive yours, that has happened to me a few times now, just receently in the christmas envie swop...good luck!

Batraplume, I can suggest doing what Alex did when she didn't have my email address (I was late in mailing her package and she was right to enquire- I would have too). Go ahead and leave feedback- negative for now if you want. Your partner will get the email that a new message is received. And you can request in your feedback that your partner contact you. There's not much else you can do, but it's a little something. I thought we used to be able to email whoever we wanted to through swap-bot. Did I imagine that?

mercury..you know I have a recollection of that, everytime I looked someone up it used to say contact using swop bot form, but that does not seem to be anymore! :-/

recieved my package which was disappointing. i recieved three pieces of what looked like old trident gum. i specified i don't like cute things and she sent a bunch of lisa frank cutey stationery...with a little chunck of soap. it feels like she didn't look at the profile. i put so much in the packages i send out that it feels bad when others don't.
