Above image was from http://pillersfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/save-spend-give.html Check it out!

I've seen these around for a long time and always meant to make some! It's a great way to teach kids and remind us about our finances.

For this swap you will make your partner a set of 3 jars. They can be anything (glass, plastic, ceramic, tins) but they need to match each other and have the opening large enough for any size coin to fit through. They should be labeled: SPEND, SAVE, GIVE. Senders choice of style and color. They can also be from recycled items if they make a nice set. Send what you would like to receive - make your partner smile! While this isn't an expensive or difficult item to make keep in mind the weight - will be pricey to mail. Please don't sign up if you're having difficulty with postage prices.

You can google images and find several styles and ideas for decorating.

Swap Requirements: So easy. Make, send by date, and rate partner fairly.

Swapper Requirements: Newbies with complete profile - it gives others an idea of what to send.

Experienced swappers: No 1's for no-sends within the last year. Don't sign up if you don't meet that requirement and haven't made good on it. I've had to angel too many swaps lately!

Please, if you don't really have the time, or skill to make this don't sign up. I always check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers.

I have some of these for my nephew. My sister is a single mom, so he comes here after school and in the summer. I give him chores to do and pay him. He has Savings, Christmas, Donation jars. Right before Christmas he puts the savings in his bank account, the Christmas he uses to buy his mom a Christmas gift and the donation he uses to buy something for the "needy". It was really fun watching/helping him pick out a gift for an 18 month old little boy at Christmas last year.
