Description:

This swap is for those of us who just can't get enough yarn! This month's color is RED.

It's very important that this be a good experience for everyone involved!! If you are new to Swap-Bot you must have a complete profile to be able to participate. If you have a rating of 4.85 or below I'm sorry, but this swap is not for you. Absolutely NO no-sends.

This will be a monthly swap. Each month a color of yarn will be assigned and you will send that specific color of yarn to your assigned partner. By the end of 12 months you will have a whole year's worth of colors! You must sign up each month you wish to participate.

Requirements: $20.00 YARN minimum please. NO cheap acrylics! This includes cheap yarn that can be purchased at big box stores as well as dishcloth cotton. Please think LYS quality yarns. If you don't have a LYS there is etsy.com as well as a ton of incredible online stores that provide amazing service. Natural fibers or natural blends only please.

Any shade of this month's color is fine as is a blend with this month's color as the main color. GET CREATIVE!!! Send a unique yarn or blend that you think your partner might enjoy!!

You're more than welcome to send along a favorite pattern or some other little "goody" if you'd like but it is not required and should not be expected. Again, please make sure the YARN is worth at least $20.00. Handspun/dyed yarns are great, but please make sure you send at least what you would consider $20.00 worth and include a label with the yarn describing the content and care. Absolutely no used or partial skeins of yarn please!

Just a question...I have to sign up for all the swaps to participate? $20 worth of yarn each month right?

As I understand it, you sign up for swaps you want. If you sign up for all these swaps, you will have all colors, but if you are not particularly fond or, say, orange (like me), you can as well just skip that swap.

Oh....I guess I read a bit wrong as I understood that you had to sign up for them all!

Agnetha - You can sign up for one or all of the swaps. :-)

I am more of a jewel tones person so I would like a darker, more cranberry, burgundy colored yarn if possible. But there is always Christmas and I plan to make 2 little Santa hats for 2 very special nephews! But am collecting yarn in the darker shades to make a shawl from.
