Handmade Kawaii Felt Brooch #2: Everyday Objects

I love making and collecting felt brooches and I'm sure many of you do, too. So with this series of swaps we'll be making kawaii felt brooches in different themes. The second theme is Everyday Objects. This can be any non-food object you come into contact with everyday. (e.g. toasters, pencils, cars, televisions, etc. . .)

For this swap, you will have one partner and will make one felt brooch for that partner. The specifications of this swap are as follows:

• The brooch must be made out of felt. The felt may be synthetic, eco-felt, or wool, just as long as it's felt.
• Your brooch must represent an everyday object of your choosing. This is sender's choice, but if you want to be nice, check your partner's profile to see what she/he likes.
• The style of the everyday object must be kawaii. Kawaii is a Japanese word meaning "cute." If you're unsure what this means, do a Google Images search or search for "kawaii felt brooches" on Etsy.
• You must sew the brooch. I've had people in the past send me felt that was glued together and it was not a pleasant experience. Please sew your pieces of felt together.
• The brooch needs to have a pin back. You can find these at Walmart's craft section or any craft store with the jewelry findings. You must sew the pin back onto the brooch. Again, no gluing please. You may use a safety pin as long as you are able to sew it on securely.
• Let's keep our brooches at a wearable size, so please do not exceed 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) in length or height.
• You must make the brooch that you send your partner. Please do not buy a handmade brooch on Etsy or other handmade venue and pass it off as your own. The objective of this swap is creating, not buying.

For this swap you must have been rated for at least 5 Type 3 swaps, have a rating of at least 4.9, and no recent unexplained 1's or 3's. I'll will be checking profiles before assigning partners. I will angel this swap, but I hope I don't have to do that. Please create something that you would like to receive.
