Description:

I have recently discovered the fun of Zentangles and have been experimenting with them on envelopes. To me, it's kind of like creative doodling. If you've never heard of this, do some searches online and you are bound to come up with a lot of information and examples.

I've also been inspired by a book called "Zenspirations - Letters & Patterning" and have been kind of combining the two techniques. My sample above is a combination of using techniques learning from what I found online for Zentangles, and from the book I talk about above.

In one of my online searches, I discovered this You Tube video and I'm now super inspired to try this - perhaps on the address for my envelope! (I don't know how to do the link; so you'll have to cut and paste the addy.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC-JULE4T8A (Zenspirations Patterned Monograms with Joanne Fink, author of above book I describe above). She also gives some free patterning techniques from her book, here at this website: http://www.sakuraofamerica.com/zenspirations

As usual, to help make your envelope a bit sturdier so it can withstand the postal system, please add a small flat surprise (sender's choice) - note card, postcard, recipe, book mark, handmade envelope, etc. Don’t forget to include your name & swap bot ID somewhere inside the envelope.

You will have 1 partner. Have fun!

P.S. I'm making this a Type 3 swap because of the time-intensive component.
