I am still joining, I just moved it to the watchlist for a bit until I get to post office to mail off some swaps...I can't stand my dashboard to get too jumbled....

Btw, I can't find A4 papers that are heavier than regular printing paper... Can you suggest anything?

What is A4 paper? If you think there is enough time I could send you bunches of sturdy cardstock you could use. Of course it might be weird if I received from you. LOL

A4 is 11.7" x 8.3", the closest size to 8.5" x 11" that is used in many parts of the world.

Here is a chart of paper sizes for reference.

melimar, if you can get your hands on rubber cement glue (it doesn't wrinkle the paper and any overflow rubs off when dry), you could glue 2 regular paper sheets together and then make your postalettes from that.

@melimar you should have it in plenty of time for the swap date, but just in case, I have extended the send by date.

I like brighter greens, blues, and pinks.

If you don't have those colors, neutral colors work as well.

In this blog, the author makes postalettes from envelopes.

If you use envelopes as she does, and then glue another sheet of paper inside them to write on, they should be sturdy enough to work even if you don't have access to card stock. (";)

When sending postalettes through the mail, some people tape the sides up for confidentiality.

I am thinking of sealing the sides with a thin strip of rubber cement. That way it will be confidential but easily pried open by the receiver.

Mine went out today. Customs form marked no value/gift paper stationery. Customs number LC524129765US. Hope you like them.

Rubber cement is an inexpensive and easy to use liquid adhesive.

A permanent bond can be created by applying rubber cement to both the top and bottom papers, while a repositionable bond is created by applying the adhesive to only one surface.

In addition, excess rubber cement can be peeled or rubbed off without wrinkling or damaging the paper. This makes rubber cement the perfect choice for card making and collage crafts.

Here in North America, it can be found in craft, art, hardware, grocery, pharmacy, discount stores, and is about $3-4US for a 4 ounce bottle.

This is just one brand - many companies make it.

I discovered it when I was 7 years old and working on a project for school. I had always used school glue on paper, but my father was helping me this time and gave me some rubber cement to use instead. I fell in love with the fact that it did not wrinkle the paper and that I could apply it messily and then just rub off the excess when it had dried. I have never been without a bottle of this amazing stuff for the last 53 years! lol
