Description:

I swiped the swap description from @Beckra with her permission (with a few modifications)

I enjoy postcard swaps so much and am often delighted by the little glimpses of other people's lives that they offer. Here's a chance to get to know the sender a little bit better because you'll receive multiple cards from them, written and sent over the course of a week.... Interested? Read on!

For this swap you will have 1 partner, and you will send that partner 7 postcards. On each postcard you should write a diary-type entry. At the end of each day, give yourself some time to record the day's events. What did you do that day? What did you think about? Did something make you especially happy or especially unhappy? You can write anything along these lines, as long as you're giving some sort of view of your day. The next morning, pop that postcard in the mail, and write the next card that evening. Repeat until the week is out! (Of course, since no mail moves on Sundays, the Saturday postcard will have to be mailed on the following Monday.)

Partners will be assigned 3/24. Write your first card Sat, 3/24 & post on Sun, 3/25 and write your last card on Fri, 3/30 & post Sat, 3/31. Note: If you don't have access to a mailbox every day, you can write a card a day and then mail all the cards at once on 3/30. (Note: Each card stamped and mailed separately)

Types of postcards sent are the sender's choice. Both commercially produced cards and hand-made cards are fine, though if your card is delicate you may want to send it in an envelope (and that's okay for this swap). (*Reminder: If you decide to use envelopes for your delicates, you will still be required to send your cards out individually. 7 stamps total (1/day) will be used in this swap.)

TERMS: 1) This is an USA swap only; please be sure you're willing to pay postage for 7 postcards. 2) Newbies allowed ONLY with a fully filled out profile (more than 2 lines). 3) Swappers 4.90+ in this swap. [This is ONLY Negotiable IF you contact me first.] If there's something on your profile that you think might raise eyebrows, please PM me in advance. 4) I will not drop anyone until the Sign up deadline has passed. Anyone who hasn't logged into Swap-bot in over a week prior to the sign up deadline will be dropped. Anyone with unexplained 1s or 3s will be dropped. Don't forget to include the date, your Swap-bot name, & the name of the swap on your postcards.

My apologies for all the rules & regs, I just want to make sure that everyone receives their postcards and that all swappers participating are ready to write and send! Please contact me with any questions.

Do we mark the swap sent when we send the first card or the last card?

StwbyQT 03/25/2012 #

@MaterializeDaydreams You mark the swap "sent" when you have mailed your last postie. :)

@All Partners have now been assigned. Let's get'ta writing! :) Hope you all enjoy this swap as much as I do! Happy Swapping & Happy Writing. If you get flaked on (though of course that's not going to happen), I'll angel the swap personally.
