Let's swap a nice little parcel which your partner can use to have their own 'afternoon tea' (or badly but usually translated as: high tea)

You have one partner, who you will send:

  • 3 teabags (wrapped unless your partner says loose is fine)
  • 8 cupcake liners (these may, of course, be pressed flat to fit in your envie!)
  • Your favourite recipe for muffins / cupcakes (to fill the liners, of course!)
  • One piece of tea-inspired art A handmade cart, an ATC, anything as long as it's tea themed!

Requirements:

At least a 4.9 rating - no unexplained 1s or 3s. At least 10 ratings for type 3 swaps.

I know I'm not easy on these things, but I've just seen too many flakers recently.. ;)

Happy swapping!

If you have any preferences / allergies, please list them in the comments below..!

No tea preferences for me - also: bagged or loose are both fine! :)

No preferences of allergies here either. Loose tea is welcome. Thanks for hosting such a charming swap!

Where I live in Scotland High Tea is usually something like fish and chips with tea and bread and butter or gammon steak with pineapple and chips. That sort of thing. ;>) I do love English afternoon tea but being diabetic has kinda put the spokes in that for me! Please someone eat a cupcake with pink swirly frosting just for me. LOL

@Gofeen - you're right, a high tea originally meant a full meal for the workers in a rich persons house.. I have no idea why the word became substitute for the posh tea parties that were originally called cream tea or afternoon tea ;)

In Holland (and I believe in the States as well?) it's now the only word used to describe such a party..

Can the art be on the envelop?

ivoryblossom 02/21/2012 #

@fawnscrafts - no, there should be something inside the envelope that counts as art (So the receiver can save it or put it on display)

But do of course feel free to decorate the envelope as well! :)

In New Zealand, 'Tea' means a whole meal, usually in the 5-6pm time. This will be fun!
