Description:

I just wanted to thank and mention this was orginalled started by @jj9jj She doesn't want to to start the zentagled alphabet over again, she will be completing her alphabet series. I asked her if I could take it over, but make it regional to the USA. I also added lower case and numbers to her original swap. I hope if you participated in @jj9jj swap you will restart with me, or pop in for some missing letters.

Zentangled Alphabet and numbers - "B". Zentangle an upper case and lower case B on seperate ATCs. The ATC size is 2.5 inch x3.5 inch card stock or similar sturdy paper. You are sending two ATCs to one person. You will have 1 swap partner for one Zentangled "B" ATC and one Zentangled "b" ATC. Adding a color or using a colored paper or color washed background is optional.

The usual Swap-bot rules apply. Newbie are welcome as long as they follow the swap requirements. Flaking will not be tolerated and you must be in good standing. Any problems contact your swap partner and me. If you flake on a letter, I will angel the letter for you BUT... you will be banned from further letters.

Please make sure you are doing your best on these. I have had some people comment on receiving questionable zentangles. They have been generous in their ratings, but your zentangles should be taking some time and effort. Don't just slap some lines on a card, draw a letter and call it a day.

I will be having 'Letter Make-Up swaps' from time to time, too, if you miss a letter and want to get caught up!

For some more info and zentangled patterns try http://tanglepatterns.com/ and http://zentangle.com/index.php

Happy Zentangling!

YAY...this is great!....I am doing jj9jj State series and was always sad to have been too late for her zentangle alpha swaps.

Of course, I just found this swap and have missed the "A-a" swap. If any one is interested/needs to catch up I would be happy to do a private swap.

Do these need to have Zentagles that start with each letter, or the actual letters with Zentangles surrounding? I'm new and interested in it, but want to be sure.

BCass 02/22/2012 #

@tuckermikeswife it needs to be the letters "B" and "b" filled in with different zentagled patterns. I hope this clears it up if not you can PM me and I will try to explain further.

BCass are you saying that only the letters themselves are to be zentangled and not the background also? If so then I did my A's wrong.

truckermikeswife 02/23/2012 #

Ok, so like an open "B" with the inside patterned.

I must have also because I drew the letters, then zentangled the background because that is how I had seen them done before. The ones I received for the Upper and lower case A, had both the letters and the backgrounds zentangled and they were beautiful (but had to take some extremely careful planning to make sure the letters were distinguishable from the background!

BCass 02/23/2012 #

You can do both or either. The backgroung, the letter or both can have a zentangle pattern. As @hlwolfe72 said just make sure you plan out accordingly so you can see the letter easily.

If anyone is interested in doing a private swap for the "A & a's" please PM me =)
