Description:

For this swap you will purchase two pairs of socks, then re-mate the socks so they don't match, then send each pair of mismatched socks to one of two partners. Socks must be new.

Try to purchase at least one pair of a pattern. You can send two different patterns or a pattern and a solid, but two different patterns is best.

The idea is to totally mismatch the socks so think about ideas like sending a sock with an elephant pattern with a sock with Santa Claus... or maybe a sock with balloons on it and solid color that doesn't match... or a sock with Harry Potter and a sock with with one with puppies on it. Think about different textures and thicknesses too!

There won't be any special requests for this swap (favorite colors, patterns, etc). The socks should be a fun surprise! Plus, it gives the sender a lot more freedom to have fun instead of feeling like they are just running an errand for you and wasting half a day to try to find a very specific item. I fully expect every single swapper to make themselves giggle out loud at least once about the socks they choose for their partners.

Swappers may get banned due to low ratings. Sorry, it's not personal.

International swappers welcome!

wouldnt it make more sence to send one partner two pairs, so they can mix and match as the feel? =] just a suggestion.

We'll leave it the way it is since people have signed up for it. Your idea will make a good swap another time. :)

But, Akki, if you send both pairs to one partner, then they might end up with matched socks! And that defeats the purpose!

So, I'm always wearing mismatched socks, and so do most of my friends, but they all think I'm crazy that I can wear one regular sock and one toe-sock (where you toes are all separated like weird foot-gloves) because they say the difference drives them nuts. I was wondering if the regular-and-toe-sock combination is considered TOO mismatched for this swap.

Too mismatched? No way! The weirder the combination the better!
