Comment: Hi, Chris, thanks for adding your little short story reviews booklet. Is that a zine? I need to give that a try. We had planned to move somewhere about 1/2 way between our kids to be closer to grandchildren, but we don't have any yet!!!!! My daughter and hubby are intentionly without children, but my son is engaged and has always talked about having wife and family. But we have no idea where they will be living. The are both food science "nerds" and self-made chefs (always nice food when they are around. But he is in southern Wisconsin with a job he really likes; Mary is in New Jersey at a job she'd be glad to leave behind for department morale and other "people created" problems. They don't want to live there anyway because of the high cost of living. So, all I can do is wait for them to be married until she finds a job that works with his and then must give them a couple years before the hoped for grandchild(ren), I am 69 in April, so I've got to stay strong and healthy if I'm going to be able to play with them as I've been able to do with our Nate and Rissa---see my Profile to see who they are and how much like grandchildren they are. Enjoy those kiddos! I've always thought I'd like to live in Maine, but maybe it wouldn't be what I've thought ever since I was a child. PeggyO

So I have seen the Amish, both there and later when we lived in Indiana. There they raise a lot of peppermint, and the smell of those fields was wonderful. Yep, when you are the last artist, you have to start a new card for your partner. Really enjoyed your little book review magazines! Sherman Alex is one of my very favorite! I used to read the opening of that book aloud to my high school students. I made them do its book retired that includes a short reading, and I always have them a couple of examples. Usually at least a few would ask to borrow that book. I have his new one about his mom, but I haven't started it yet. I will keep these for reference--several others that look good that I've never read. And your poem! So good! I can yourself see that scene with the cars facing each other down. Perfect ending-- a "hopeful sound." I assure YA novels and picture books. Have you ever seen one called 17 Kings and 42 Elephants? It's a gorgeous book, done with colorful batik and a bouncing rhyming rhythm. I'll stop there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I always think of lighthouses as being in warm sunny places, fun to see some with snow. If you do many trips to see lighthouses look into getting a Lighthouse Passport so you can collect stamps from the lighthouses you go see!
